Long-distance twins

Recently Mary has been very good about smiling for the camera.

One pose she likes is to lounge with legs crossed.

But I can easily convince her to stand up.

The reason for the posing was to capture an image of Mary in that pretty little dress. It's something of a long story, but her far-away cousin E has one just like it.

Aren't these girls beautiful? One with brown straight hair and brown eyes, and the other with blond curls and blue eyes. So maybe they're not exactly twins. But as cousins they do share some of the same genetic material. And the same dress!
