Cousins came to town

For two weeks this month Grammy's house was filled with cousins. Hooray!

The day before I left for Wisconsin, we headed up to Grammy's house for a pool party/multi-birthday celebration.

(A shout out to Uncle Matt, who cheerfully played Dad to my kids too. Mary was a little wary of him at first, but she soon realized Uncle Matt is a super fun guy--the kind of guy you want to cozy up to at a party. They were great friends in no time.)

Besides wet and wild fun, we also had a yummy lunch of sliders and watermelon. Then, of course, there were cupcakes to honor everybody's birthdays.

To top off the celebration, Grammy handed out balloons and Silly Bandz.

Speaking of Silly Bandz, Mary loves them so much that she carefully collected hers all together and put them in a baggy expressly for her daddy. (That should tell you how much she loves her dad!) But when she presented the bag to Greg last week, he didn't even know what Silly Bandz were! Sheesh. Where's he been?! It's like he lives in another country or something.

David and Mary love their cousins! We are excited to see more of them in less than two weeks. Utah, here we come!
