Today we went to this. A nature trail with super-realistic dinosaurs along the way. Pretty nifty, eh?
David and Mary and Cousin J thought so...
...at first. But then the dinosaurs got a little TOO realistic--with sounds and movement and eyes that stare at you. David completely freaked out and insisted that Grammy carry him...
And when I say COMPLETELY FREAKED OUT, I mean it...
He was a bit braver passing the Quetzalcoatlus, but we had to make a huge detour to avoid the life-size, animated T-rex.
Meanwhile, Mary was a pretty happy girl, fascinated by the dinosaurs.
Everyone's favorite was the silent, unanimated, climbable T-rex...
A somewhat traumatic outing? Yes. But very cool. If you're in the area, you should check it out. (Plus, you can get in free if you have an ASTC membership.)
