Dickens of a Christmas

On Saturday we went to the Dickens of a Christmas festival in a local town square. The streets are decked with holiday cheer, and the shop keepers sport Victorian duds. It was a wonderful way to inaugurate the Christmas season.

The highlight for David and Mary was a ride on Frosty's train.

First they got their bright red tickets.

And then there was nothing to do but wait...
...and wait some more.

What a fun little ride!

My favorite part was the discovery of some wonderful little shops. And the pleasure in crossing a few more things off my Christmas shopping list.
