Another reason I love my husband

Greg asked me to read his statement of purpose for his graduate school applications.

When he called to hear my feedback, I asked,"Do I have to say nice things about it first?"

"No, Alisa, please just get straight to the point."

Another reason to love him: I don't have to say nice things about his writing to cushion the blow of my "constructive criticism."

How liberating for this former middle school/high school/community college English teacher to shed the shackles of "finding something positive to say first."

That man makes my dreams come true.
