I think this whole blog is "meanwhile, back at the ranch," which isn't too far off, since this house was built on Texas ranch land. (Until recently, there used to be a herd of longhorn a few blocks away.) Yes, we are the subplot. The real action is in Honduras.

At work Greg deals with crises like this--a semi truck that drove through the installation's wall. Oops...
As the head Air Force civil engineer, he gets to be in charge of projects that use cool stuff like bulldozers...
He lives here and drives that...
He volunteers at an orphanage...
He spends way too many long weekends here at Alton's Diving shop on Utila scuba diving...

On many Saturdays he builds houses in Comayagua with Habitat for Humanity...
He also celebrates holidays with his friends, and he's planned some big celebrations himself...
Some days at work, as the fire marshall, he's involved in practice exercises like this...
Other days at work he flies out on a helicopter to survey land...
He volunteers to help with charity functions for orphans...
