So, Friday morning, after Mary's gymnastics class (which she insisted DADDY attend with her), I sent Greg and the kids to the Fort Worth Museum with Grammy, and I got to be ALL BY MYSELF.
An all-day marathon shopping adventure with children (*shudder*) would be a nightmare. But, since I was ALL BE MYSELF, it was heavenly. Heavenly!
We all met up at Grammy's house that evening for a sleepover. The best part of the sleepover was that I did not have to put the kids to bed ALL BY MYSELF. In fact, I didn't have to do it at all! Grammy did it all by herself (bless her!), so Greg and I could go see a movie (The Ghostwriter: Excellent).
It was nice to be ALL BY MYSELF. And the kids didn't mind my absence at all.
They got Daddy all to themselves...
A lovely start to our spring break.

One more thing: I had been asked to speak in church about the power of prayer--to read some scriptures, prepare brief remarks, and share my testimony. As a result, I was seated on the stand rather than in the pews. Greg got to wrestle with the kids throughout the meeting, and I got to sit...ALL BY MYSELF. Very lovely indeed.
