What is wrong in this picture?

Ohio plates are so...neutral. And safe. Right or wrong, I feel like Texas plates make a statement, and I'm not sure it's the statement I want to make. (Maybe I should stick this back on the bumper?)

I can't even comfort myself by thinking that it will only be one year. Greg is a Texas resident, so we can keep these plates forever, which we most likely will do to avoid the cost and hassle of re-registration each time we move. I guess I'd better get used to Texas tags on this car.
Oh well. Life goes on. And I think I'm being a pretty good sport about living in Texas. I genuinely loved the State Fair. I think Mary would be cute in little pink cowboy boots. I even--of my choice--lunched at L&W's...and thoroughly enjoyed it. Yes, there are definitely worse things in life than Texas.
Like, say, life in North Dakota.
So now that I live in Texas, I have decided to channel my energy into refusing to ever live in North Dakota. And while I am busy convincing the universe I will never live in North Dakota, please don't remind me that one of the very very few Crisis Management PhD programs in the entire country is at, you guessed it, UND in lovely Grand Forks.
Texas is seeming better and better.
