My years-long dream has been realized. I now have a Hello Kitty mouse pad. (Thank you, Target.)

A few years ago (like 5?) I decided I NEEDED a Hello Kitty mouse pad. Greg searched the world over (via the Internet) to no avail. I had to settle for the free mouse pad we got from our local NPR station (yes, we're those people who give money to public radio--I couldn't bear the guilt--really, how do the rest of you live with yourselves?!).

Now I can smoothly click my way to your blog with the help of a happy pink Hello Kitty. The best part might be that the mouse pad was manufactured to remind me that this year is Hello Kitty's 35th anniversary: At least something is older than me.

So, Greg, the search is over. Hooray!

(Yes, as I mentioned before, I like Hello Kitty. And, yes, Mary has a Hello Kitty school folder. And, yes, she wore Hello Kitty socks to school today. Come on, it beats Disney Princesses.)
